Lou Hawthorne to speak at Rejuvenation Startup Summit 2022

Lou Hawthorne is the inventor of the company’s core technology, NaNots, which are injectable absorptive nanoparticles designed to treat major diseases such as cancer and inflammatory conditions including sepsis and “inflamm-aging”. NaNots are the subject of 13 granted patents as well as upcoming first-in-human studies at Mayo Clinic and other top-tier medical research centers.

Lou is a scientist-entrepreneur with 25+ years of experience in founding companies and leading interdisciplinary teams developing new technologies in biotech and life science. In 2002, Lou founded Genetic Savings & Clone, which spun off the agricultural cloning company Viagen, acquired by Intrexon (XON) in 2014. Lou also founded BioArts International, the first company to offer pet cloning services commercially. Advanced microfluidic embryo culture technology developed by BioArts for pet cloning was later out-licensed for use in human IVF.

Lou is a graduate of Princeton University where he was a University Scholar and recipient of the Ward Mathis Prize. He has been interviewed by most major newspapers, magazines, and television programs, including appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show and Good Morning America.
